Sports Photographer At Horse Shows

Job Description: Capture action and candid photos at horse shows. Sports photography experience is required. Professional equipment is strongly desired, but not required and can be fully supplied by us. Specific training provided, but you must have experience in action photography. Seasonal, hourly position (typically 8-12 hour days), flexibility on days worked, largely on Thursday-Sunday. MUST have Action Photography experience! Strong equine background is ideal but definitely not required. What we are looking for: The ideal person for this job is a true go-getter. Our photographers never stand in one spot, they have to move and frequently move a lot to get the right shots. We don't photograph just one or two jumps per trip, we shoot a minimum of 4 and we aren't very happy if 4 is all that we can get. To get this quantity, there is a lot of moving. The person needs to have enough horse experience to know when they can and can't move to not spook anyone. When the horse in the ring is not being photographed, the photographer is looking for candid and dog photos. At most shows, there is very little time that the photographer is standing and waiting to photograph something. Candidate should be friendly and personable, but doesn't need to be very outspoken.
