Stablehand - Lancaster Pa

Kynynmont Connemaras (175 River Hill Rd, Conestoga PA 17516) is hiring for a full time stablehand. One of our longtime stable hands is leaving us for the air conditioned life of a dental hygenist! Responsibilities include mucking, turnout, feeding and generally keeping our ponies happy and barn beautiful! Work with everything from foals to retirees. This is a very physically demanding job with a great group of hard working, horse loving individuals. Must be available at least on Saturdays, if not both weekend days. Preference given to candidate who is willing and able to work Wednesday - Sunday and able to assist with 1-2 night checks per week. Ideally we are looking for a long term team member. This can be a full-time live-in position, full-time live off property position, or possibly (though not ideally) we will hire multiple part-time staffers. There will be a background check for anyone living in the apartment. Applicants must: (1) have horse experience; (2) be lawfully able to work in US and currently be in US; 3) have own transportation; (4) be honest, accountable, reliable, self-motivated and listen to instruction.
